The countdown is officially on.

On 19 October, The Catering Group will open the doors to Awaba House, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our team and for hospitality in Lake Macquarie.

Set against one of the region’s most impressive waterfront backdrops, Awaba House has been developed as a destination for great food, memorable events and relaxed dining. Our vision has always been to create a venue that feels connected to its surroundings while delivering the level of food, service and hospitality that guests have come to expect from The Catering Group.

The menu will focus on modern Australian dining, drawing inspiration from local produce, seasonal ingredients and native Australian flavours. The experience will be supported by a carefully developed wine list, premium spirits and a cocktail program designed specifically for the venue.

But Awaba House is about more than dining.

The venue has been designed to cater for everything from casual lunches and special occasions through to weddings, corporate events and large celebrations. With Lake Macquarie as the backdrop, we believe it will become an important destination for both locals and visitors to the region.

There has been an enormous amount of work behind the scenes to bring Awaba House to life. From the kitchen and beverage program through to recruitment, training, design and operations, our team has been focused on creating something we can be proud of.

With opening day now approaching, we are excited to finally welcome guests through the doors.
